Winners of the 2024 Creative Circle Awards Unveiled

Jul. 11, 2024

The Creative Circle has revealed the winners of its 2024 awards following the 79th annual awards ceremony which marked the close of the fourth UK Creative Festival.

Taking place in Dreamland, Margate, the celebratory evening saw the best work from over the past year awarded Gold, Silver, Bronze and special prizes in a packed-out ceremony hosted for the first time by Mr Cee.

The 2024 competition saw an increase in entries from previous years. The Creative Circle is proud to run the fairest judging process in the UK, inviting the entire creative community to have their say on the best creative work of the year. After two rounds of online judging, in person Gold judging sessions take place, with juries made up by a representative selection of creatives including the previous years Talent winners.

The coveted Gold of Golds was awarded to the Channel 4 Idents, recognising in-house creative agency 4Creative alongside Time Based Arts, String and Tins, and Art Practice for their groundbreaking representation of modern British culture and community.

BBH London was named the Most Creative Agency of the year, clinching the title from Uncommon Creative Studio who had held the accolade for four consecutive years. The title of Most Creative Production Company was once again awarded to Biscuit Filmworks, and Electric Theatre Collective were named the Most Creative Post Production Company for the fourth year in a row.

Meanwhile Final Cut was named Most Creative Editing House, and String and Tins took home the award for Most Creative Sound Design Company.

The Creative Circle President’s Award, which recognises a person or organisation that has had the greatest impact on advertising this year was awarded to Robert Saville, who co-founded independent agency, Mother in 1996.

Finally, Charlene Chandrasekaran was named as the new president of the Creative Circle, taking over the reins from Gabriela Scardaccione who held the title for two years. Charlene, currently joint ECD at independent agency The Or is welcomed as the 52nd president of the organisation.

Jeremy Green, managing director of the Creative Circle and founder of UKCF, added:

“It’s been an incredible evening celebrating the best of the best of UK creativity from the past year. Massive thanks to everyone who joined us at Dreamland. We were thrilled to have received the most award entries ever this year and were pleased to be able to share the shortlisted work in our first ever Best of British Creativity exhibition at this year’s UK Creative Festival.”

All of the shortlisted work from the Creative Circle awards was displayed this year at The Best of British Creativity exhibition in Dreamland, which also showcased the history of the awards in anticipation of its 80th anniversary next year.

Once again, Creative Circle had pledged 10% of all award entry fees and 100% of membership fees to support greater diversity in the creative departments of the future through the Creative Foundation. The UK Creative Festival is also pledging its profits to the Creative Foundation.
