Mediaplus Named Best Independent Agency in WARC Rankings and Serviceplan Group Takes Top Spot in Independent Networks Category
Mar. 19, 2024
Mediaplus have enjoyed unprecedented success in the WARC International "Media 100" ranking, the ultimate award for creative media, taking third place in the "Agencies Overall" category, a remarkable improvement of nine places on the previous year. The agency's position among the independents is unchallenged, topping the "Independent Agencies" list. These successes also contribute to the network rating, where the Serviceplan Group is ranked number one in the "Independent Networks" category of the "Media 100" ranking.
Matthias Brull, Global CEO of the Mediaplus Group, said:
"Securing top positions in the WARC rankings fills me with immense pride and serves as a powerful endorsement of our media standards. Creative media has always been one of our unique selling points and a crucial element of our innovation leadership. With creative media, we not only reach people, but also enchant, inspire, and emotionally touch them. These outstanding results show that our work as a creative media agency is now internationally recognized."
Maximilian Schongen, Global Creative Lead at Mediaplus Group, commented:
"WARC is the definitive creative benchmark. Being recognised by WARC is a great honour for Mediaplus. Such a result can only be achieved through creativity, innovation and integration: within Mediaplus, but especially across all disciplines and pillars of the Serviceplan Group. I am incredibly proud to see the hard work of our colleagues, partners and clients pay off and look forward to all that lies ahead".
The achievements in the WARC "Media 100" follow the outstanding placements in the "Creative 100" creative ranking last week: The Serviceplan Group ranks third among "Independent Networks". In the "Agencies Overall" ranking, Serviceplan Germany breaks into the top 10 for the first time and even claims third place among "Independent Agencies".
Alexander Schill, Global Chief Creative Officer of the Serviceplan Group, said:
"To be listed in the top 10 of six categories in the WARC rankings shows that our creative ambition continues to stand out against international competition. Topping the 'Independent Networks' ranking as an agency group is a particular source of pride and a testament to our independence and global significance."
The WARC rankings are published annually and list the most awarded campaigns, advertisers and agencies of the past year in the individual Creative 100, Media 100 and Effective 100 rankings. At the agency level, a distinction is made between agencies, independent agencies, networks and independent networks.
