Harry Redknapp Returns for New BrightHR Campaign with Help from Another Football Legend
Oct. 05, 2022
Harry Redknapp has returned for a new campaign for BrightHR, the HR software brand – and this time another legendary football manager makes a special cameo appearance.
Produced by creative agency Dentsu Creative, the new series of adverts shows Harry Redknapp (or "HR") as a hapless HR manager who needs to call on the features of BrightHR to help him manage a business team.
The adverts show that with BrightHR features like Holiday Requests, Health and Safety Reporting and Expert Advice, it can be quick and simple for businesses to manage their HR tasks with a tap of the phone.
The humourous ads also riff on Harry’s football persona, featuring references to VAR technology with a guest appearance from a former sparring partner, turned friend and mentor. In the latter advert, the legendary manager is seen rolling his eyes and ignoring a phone call when Harry tries to get in touch for advice.
Dentsu Creative worked with director Cris Mudge and production company Chief to bring a sitcom-like feel to the ads, while also collaborating with fellow dentsu company iProspect as the end to end media agency.
The new campaign will run across TV, VOD, digital and social media. It follows Harry Redknapp’s first campaign for BrightHR, which aired last year.
Alan Price, CEO at BrightHR, said:
“BrightHR is all about making HR quick and easy for businesses, so we wanted to show that in a fun and light-hearted way. Having Harry Redknapp as our ‘HR’ brand ambassador has been fantastic, and we’re delighted that’s he’s returned for our latest campaign, alongside a surprise guest! Having two football legends in the same advert adds even more stardust to this campaign, showcasing the fantastic features and business benefits of using BrightHR, and how simple our software makes every task.”
Neil Walker Creative Director at Dentsu Creative, said:
“This campaign is a great demonstration of how business-to-business advertising doesn’t just mean corporate. With tongues in our cheeks, we’ve called on some of the best known football managers in the world to help BrightHR stand out in thmarket and demonstrate why it’s such a great business tool.”
