The result is a directional palette of 132 paint colours with an extraordinary response to light These 11 new colours are the first change to the brand’s signature palette since 2018.
The graphically engaging campaign, featuring 15-second films highlighting seven of the new colours, launches on 29 September in the UK, US, France and Germany. Selected media will appear per market from the multi-media campaign including social films, print and DOOH.
The seven colours selected to be featured in the film campaign, each brought to life via an artistic, surreal treatment include; Eddy, Bamboozle, Templeton Pink, Wine Dark, Whirlybird, Beverly and Kittiwake. Mesmerising macro shots of drips, drops, swirls and splashes evoke each of the colours’ origin stories before resolving to a moment of stillness showcasing each new colour in a perfectly painted, calm environment.
Joa Studholme, Colour Curator for Farrow & Ball who co-created the shades with Charlotte Cosby, Head of Creative, said:
"Our relationship with our home has changed so much over the last few years, it felt like the perfect time to introduce these new colours. We all feel ready to show off our spaces and personal style. Our palette is made even more relevant through the introduction of these gentle lights and dramatic and atmospheric darks."
Matt Lever, CCO, BMB added:
"Farrow & Ball paint is already stunning in its own right. We wanted to hero the new colours with a tactile, intriguing campaign that delves into the paint production process to create playful, pleasingly abstract and mesmerising visuals that evoke the feelings these beautiful new shades elicit."
