Definition 6 Rounds Out Exec Leadership With Duc Le And Jamie Rosen
Jun. 13, 2022
Customer experience agency DEFINITION 6 (D6) is thrilled to announce new appointments within their executive leadership team, adding COO Duc Le and Board Member Jamie Rosen. Le brings more than 20 years of experience transforming and growing agencies, notably as Global Managing Director of Digital Operations for Edelman, the world’s largest communications agency. Rosen has spent more than 25 years as a leader in the field, working with some of the world’s most iconic brands, including PepsiCo, NASDAQ, and Walmart.
DEFINITION 6 CEO Jeff Katz said:
"Jamie and Duc are seasoned agency pros whose breadth of experience will be an asset for how we evolve and grow moving forward. More importantly, they align with our agency credo to be a partner to our clients in the truest sense of the word. Jamie brings a critical and fresh perspective to our board, from the client and agency side, while Duc is an operator with a stellar track record at both mid-sized and global agencies. He also bolsters our presence in New York City, where D6 holds one of four offices."
For years, Le has been an industry leader in the field of growing and transforming businesses, recently spending a year as Practice Leader of Digital Solutions at Real Chemistry. Previously, Le concluded a tremendous nine-year run at Edelman Digital, moving from Senior VP New York Client Services (Digital) all the way up to Global Managing Director Digital Operations. During that time, Le was an industry pioneer who transformed Edelman’s social media digital group into a full-service marketing agency, incorporating analytics, planning, UX, and experiential to the agency’s solutions. Following an early career in equity portfolio management, Le pivoted into Business Development and Client Services for Xceed Inc. and the Porteck Corporation – an illustrious path that has taken him all the way up to DEFINITION 6 today.
Le, who will work closely with Chief People Officer Jennifer Briskin on the company's operations and growth strategies said:
"D6 is a well-established agency that still operates with a start-up spirit. By that I mean, they're a smart, creative, nimble, and client-first operation. Factor in their impressive business fundamentals, a history of strong revenue growth, and an astonishing client-retention rate, it felt like a place where I could make an immediate impact, particularly from the standpoint of agency operations and client relations. That's my sweet spot – transforming agencies with a strong foundation, and scaling and fine-tuning them for the needs of both the client and the company without losing the DNA that was the key to success."
A creative and results-driven marketing leader, Rosen has steered and scaled an impressive roster of agencies and brands. As part of Publicis Groupe, she held multiple leadership roles, including EVP/CMO of Publicis New York, EVP/Managing Director of Marcel New York, and President of Dept W, a cross-functional marketing entity and conglomerate of agencies dedicated to Walmart. As Managing Partner at strategic consultancy, Naked Communications, she led the development of brand, business, digital, and integrated communications strategies for clients, including NBCUniversal, Revlon, Playboy, Heineken, Feeding America, and GSK. Other agency experience includes Toy New York, BBDO, Fallon New York, and Kirshenbaum Bond + Partners. Her brand-side experience includes leadership and consulting roles at NASDAQ, PepsiCo, and, most recently, Claire’s.
Rosen said:
"DEFINITION 6 is a diamond in the rough – experts in data and technology, creatively ambitious, adored by their clients, and on an impressive trajectory. They also operate with the utmost integrity, transparency, and humility, which can be rare. I’m excited to partner with them to help accelerate their growth, scale their offering, and unlock their hidden superpowers -- taking them from an agency you should know to an agency you do know."
In light of the big moves, DEFINITION 6 is making with its people strategy and executive leadership team, Katz stresses the importance of keeping perspective.
Katz concluded:
"Once you get the best advice from the board and others, you bring on smart people and then let them go to it. I know it sounds cliche but I hire people smarter than me, with different experiences, and let them work their magic."
