Cheil Worldwide Scoops Grand Prix for Innovation at the 2023 Clio Health Awards
Jun. 16, 2023
Cheil Worldwide has won big at the Clio Health Awards, scooping the prestigious Innovation Grand Prix and taking home a further ten awards across the network.
Cheil Spain’s ‘Unfear’ for Samsung won the Grand Prix for Innovation along with two Golds, one Silver and a Bronze, the most statues won by any agency from Spain at the Clio Health Awards. The advanced AI app, created for people with autism, autonomously suppresses fear-triggering sounds in real-time without cancelling out noise altogether.
Cheil PengTai Beijing x Hong Kong’s ‘Quest for Dyslexia’ for Samsung was another big winner, also picking up five trophies, with two Golds and three Silver awards – the most statues won by an agency from China and Hong Kong. ‘Quest for Dyslexia’ hacks the in-game Quests of China’s game-of-the-year, Young Warrior. Machine-learning identifies erroneous patterns to detect dyslexia in young gamers before notifying parents of the need for further diagnosis and support.
Malcolm Poynton, Global Chief Creative Officer at Cheil Worldwide, said:
“This year’s winners show the advancements that can be made in health through Cheil’s deep understanding of AI, gaming and mobile innovation, and the positive impact a brand can have on society. Cheil Spain and Cheil PengTai Beijing x Hong Kong’s ground-breaking work for Samsung demonstrates the power of ‘technology with purpose’ by opening up the world for more people, tangibly contributing to SDGs and inspiring even greater progress in the world today. As a network, we’re incredibly appreciative of the industry recognition for such important campaigns from Samsung that support our diverse societies.”
